# Transactions

The Transactions page is your central view of all financial activity across every bank account. Search, filter, and categorize transactions to understand your spending.

## Viewing Transactions

Navigate to **Transactions** to see all your transactions in a sortable table. Each transaction shows:

* **Date** -- when the transaction occurred
* **Description** -- the bank's transaction description
* **Amount** -- positive for credits (income), negative for debits (expenses)
* **Balance** -- running balance after the transaction (when available)
* **Category** -- the assigned category
* **Bank / Account** -- which bank account the transaction belongs to

## Searching and Filtering

Use the filter bar at the top of the page to narrow down transactions:

| Filter | Options |
| -------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Search** | Free text search on transaction descriptions |
| **Date range** | Today, 7 days, 30 days, 90 days, custom range, or all time |
| **Account** | Filter by specific bank account |
| **Statement** | Filter by a specific statement period |
| **Category** | Filter by transaction category |
| **Type** | Credit (income) or Debit (expense) |

Filters are persisted in the URL, so you can bookmark or share filtered views.
